MahaMilan Episode: Jee Le Zara and Bade Achhe Lagte Hai - December 6th, 2013
Ever since Episode 1 of Jee Le Zara, I’ve constantly been impressed, on a daily basis, by Sangeeta’s portrayal of Saachi Prabhu. Now, 65 episodes later, if anything, I feel more amazed and awestruck than ever.
*sigh* Sangeeta is unbelievably sensational at infusing even the most horrendous-sounding, cliched, scripted situations with SO much pathos. HOW does she do that?!
In a merger episode that was filled to the brim with characters and confusion and chaos, Sangeeta stood out and shone so brightly that all the happiness I felt at the beginning, while watching DV and Saachi in Panchgani, pretty much dissipated into thin air by the end because of her incredible emoting abilities. Seeing the vulnerability cloud Saachi’s eyes after seeing how radiantly happy she has been with DV in Panchgani…It is heartbreaking. I hope Saachi gradually becomes stronger emotionally, even if she stumbles a bit. I’ll be here to cheer for her every step of the way.
I feel for Saachi…and I feel with her. I always have. That is a testament to Sangeeta’s excellence as an actor - that she can evoke pathos with the most subtle of shifts in her eyes, in her body language, in her vocal inflection…
So many nuances, tonal shifts, and minute changes in expression…All naturally, effortlessly, consistently, BEAUTIFULLY conveyed. Sangeeta Ghosh is an inimitable class act, truly.
"Mere liye romance…yeh nahi hai."
"Achcha? Toh phir kya hai?"
"Yeh bhi nahi hai."
Cutest episode of the week :) <3
Wordplay with a Lawyer…
"Prove kijiye ki main aapko disturb kar raha hoon…"
"Marathi mein ‘baal’ ko ‘kes’ bolte hai…’kes’!"
"Miss Prabhu…I think I believe you. Aapka ilzaam sahi hai."
'Dukh raha hai… bahut jyada dukh raha hai?'
'Nahi toh, main aisi hi shor macha raha hoon. Of course dukh raha hai yaar.'
All those times an irritated Saachi would retort, “Main tumhaari YAAR nahi hoon!” No question of that now! All she does is roll her eyes at him and shift her attention back to his wounds.
Mat jao, please! Mere liye…humare liye!
